I've been an artist as long as I can remember. Raised in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, I was first shaped by a rural blue collar upbringing. Now based in Toronto, Ontario, I continue to look for new people, moments, and images that are revealing, layered: images that tell stories or veil secrets. For me, photography started as a release; a way to mark time: to stop and take in where I was and who I was in a given moment. Years later, I continue to be inspired by photography's ability to hold a mirror up to nature and give us the opportunity to steal glimpses of the human spirit at stilled fractions of a second; then take those moments and allow them to be shared, analysed, experienced, and reinterpreted.
